Customer feedback has already informed us that the Ducati Desert X Rally has extremely high negative suspension travel in the shock absorber.
This results in the problem that the vehicle loses its stability on the side stand even with a low payload and threatens to tip over.
To counteract this effect, Wilbers has optimised the negative spring travel and made the suspension strut slightly longer, so that the Wilbers standard corresponds to a height increase of 15 mm. This results in significantly better handling and therefore increased safety.
A relatively hard spring is fitted to the rear shock absorber as standard, which hardly compresses at all on potholes and bumps, despite over 200mm of suspension travel.
The Wilbers conversion therefore relies on a softer spring with optimised rebound and compression damping. Riding comfort and traction increase.
The fork is fitted with linear fork springs ex works, Wilbers relies on progressive fork springs in combination with SKF radial shaft seals, which result in better response behaviour and offer more reserve in the second spring rate than the standard version.
We also offer the ‘blue anodising’ for the outer tubes of the fork. The price per tube is 99EUR.
