What is the difference between Ecoline and Adjustline?
Our Ecoline shock absorbers are supplied with manual spring preload, operated using a hook wrench. Options such as hydraulic preload, height adjustment or colour customisation are not available. The spring is always black.

All Adjustline shock absorbers feature manual spring preload and rebound adjustment. Depending on the type, compression adjustment is also available.

Additional options such as hydraulic preload, ride height adjustment and custom colours are available for almost all Adjustline shock absorbers.
What is the difference between Blue/Black Line and Nightline?
The difference is purely visual; technically all variants are identical.

Blue Line: blue spring, coloured adjusters
Black Line: black spring, silver adjusters

Nightline: black spring, fully black anodised body (chrome piston rod) with red adjusters. 10% surcharge applies.

Custom colour combinations are also possible.
Why do I need to provide weight and load information when ordering?
Wilbers shock absorbers are custom-built. Information about rider, passenger and luggage weight, riding style and intended use is required to ensure optimal setup.
What is required for you to adjust my suspension?
Book an appointment in Nordhorn or visit us at an event. The adjustment is free of charge and takes around 15 minutes.
What does maintenance of my shock absorber cost to maintain warranty coverage?
ECO-Line: €99.00
Adjustline: €109.00
Adjustline with reservoir: €119.00
Hydraulic preload: €79.00

What should I consider when lowering a motorcycle suspension?
Front and rear must be lowered evenly. In addition to the shock absorber, matched fork springs or cartridge spacers are required.

This keeps geometry stable and handling balanced. The side stand often needs to be shortened as well.
How do I increase spring preload (without PA)?
Turn the lock ring clockwise. See the installation manual for details.
How do I increase spring preload (with PA)?
Turn the adjuster knob clockwise. See the installation manual for details.
How do I adjust compression damping?
Low-speed with a crosshead screwdriver, high-speed with a flathead screwdriver.

Turn clockwise from "closed" to "open".
Which direction opens the compression valves?
Anti-clockwise (viewed from below).
Can I have my shock absorber modified afterwards?
Yes, spring rate, damping and length can be adjusted. Costs vary depending on the work required.
Can I use my shock absorber in a different motorcycle?
Generally no, as each unit is specifically tuned for a particular vehicle. Using it elsewhere may cause issues and void the ABE approval.

In some cases, a conversion is possible.
Is the fitted spring suitable for my weight?
Yes, the spring rate is individually selected based on your provided data.
Is a reservoir only useful for professional riders?
No, it benefits all riders. Damping can be adjusted to suit different riding conditions.
Can a reservoir be retrofitted?
Yes, on many models this is possible (e.g. type 631 and 641).
Can hydraulic spring preload be retrofitted?
Yes, in most cases this is easily possible.
