MT-07 | RM48 / RM49 / RM50 / RM51
The Yamaha MT-07 from model year 2025 features a completely new upside-down fork, providing a modern technical foundation. However, the standard suspension setup of both the fork and rear shock still leaves considerable room for improvement. The standard linear fork springs offer only a single fixed spring rate, making it difficult to combine responsive comfort with sufficient reserves for sporty riding. In addition, excessive compression and rebound damping reduce suspension sensitivity over bumps and compromise traction. The standard rear shock also features an unbalanced damping setup and only a very limited rebound adjustment range.
A Wilbers suspension system unlocks the full potential of the Yamaha MT-07. The optimized setup delivers significantly improved suspension response, increased comfort and much better feedback from the road. At the same time, handling is noticeably enhanced: the motorcycle turns in more precisely, remains considerably more stable through fast corners and at higher speeds, and inspires greater confidence and control in every riding situation. Improved traction also ensures optimum tire contact with the road, even on uneven surfaces and while leaned over.
Every Wilbers shock absorber is individually manufactured according to your personal specifications. Rider weight, luggage, passenger use and intended riding style are all taken into account. Spring rate and damping characteristics are precisely matched to your requirements rather than being a compromise for a wide range of riders. The result is a suspension perfectly tailored to you and your Yamaha MT-07, delivering greater comfort, precision, stability and riding enjoyment.
