Stelvio | MH
The shock absorber of the Moto Guzzi Stelvio sags far too much at the rear in series production, while it is significantly overdamped in the rebound stage. This means that successive bumps in the road can no longer be absorbed satisfactorily, resulting in unsteady handling behaviour.
As a result, the motorbike becomes unmanageable on poor road surfaces and loses comfort.
The fork is also significantly overdamped in the rebound stage. Progressive fork springs are fitted as standard, but their block value is not ideal. As a result, the rider finds himself too early in the second, significantly harder spring rate. This is also at the expense of comfort.
Wilbers has designed new fork springs for the standard height and lowering. In the standard height, the Wilbers solution also relies on progressive fork springs, but with an optimised block value in combination with matching fork oil and the appropriate air chamber. The seat height remains unaffected.
With Wilbers, the Moto Guzzi Stelvio gains significantly in stability and comfort.
