Transalp XL 750 | RD16
The Honda Transalp XL 750 RD16 is a great bike that impresses with its versatility.
Of course, no motorcycle is perfect and the Honda's chassis could do with some improvement.
There is little to complain about at the front, except that the ride could be a little more comfortable in everyday use. We have opted for a slightly softer base with increased progression to improve comfort.
However, interested customers should consider our fork revision. This significantly improves the fork's responsiveness and feedback, making it much more enjoyable to ride.
At the rear, the situation is slightly different: the overdamped rebound makes the bike feel like a lift when rebounding, and the compression damping turns its back on us when leaving the terrain. At first glance this doesn't seem ideal.
Unfortunately, the standard version of the Transalp is not very directional and does not give the confidence it could. We therefore reduced the rebound damping, increased the compression damping and slightly increased the base spring rate.
The result is a Transalp XL 750 with excellent directional stability, great riding comfort and plenty of reserves off the beaten track.
With our suspension, the Honda Transalp XL 750 becomes what it promises to be: a versatile, powerful bike that can do it all.
