solution maybe is the most comfortable way to adjust the spring preload. Using a hand knob that comes with a bracket specified for your motorcycle, you can easily adjust the riding level to match additional passenger and/or loading situations. The adjustment range is 10 mm.
The X-PA offers you the option to regulate the spring preload and therewith the vehicle level by the included box spanner in a breath. The purely mechanical adjustment mechanism is very light and, due to its robustness, best suited for enormous loads. The adjustment range is 15 mm.
The ZF-PA is a hydraulic spring tensioner that is directly integrated on the shock absorber. The advantage is that you do not have to mount an external hand knob to the vehicle. Nowadays especially current motorcycle models rarely offer space for a separate had wheel. Easily reachable and adjustable without much force, this preload option can be tuned for up to 15 mm.
The
E-PA is an electrohydraulic spring preload. This system is exclusive to our WESA-X shock absorbers. Using the control unit of the WESA-X system, you can adjust the seating level at the push of a button to different loading situations in 5 steps.

With
the Wilbers ride-height-adjustment the length of the shock absorber can be modified over a thread located at the lower shock mount for +/-5mm. Normally this is possible while the shock absorber is installed.
Depending on the type of the motorcycle, the seating height can be adjusted for up to +/-15mm. This is for example useful on the racetrack to influence the caster and therewith the steering behavior of the motorcycle.
During the development of the chassis, it quickly became clear that we had to break new ground. We imagined a shock absorber that could be operated by "everyone" in a simple and understandable way. The result: our new 642 S Competition shock absorber.
It has only one compression valve, which can be operated by hand. Why only one compression valve? Quite simply because it is much easier to adjust and still meets the requirements of the machine and the rider. Because this new high-flow pressure stage valve, as the name suggests, ensures a higher oil flow. This in turn has the advantage that the shock responds extremely sensitively without significantly restricting the adjustment range. In addition, the large external reservoir ensures sufficient cooling of the damper oil even under the heaviest loads and thus a constant damper characteristic curve.
Apart from that, we have relied on reliable Wilbers technology that has been tried and tested over many years. In the basic version, the spring preload is infinitely variable by means of a hook spanner and the rebound stage is also manually adjustable in 22 clicks. Further options like a hydraulic spring preload can be added via the configurator.
This makes the 642 S Competition ideal for long journeys with demanding road conditions as well as off-road use, but also for ambitious country road riders. Last but not least, our individual tuning based on rider data ensures optimal handling for every rider weight and load condition.
You receive a 5-year warranty on the 642 S Competition shock absorber. Furthermore, our ABE makes an entry in the vehicle documents unnecessary.
