CMX 500 Rebel | PC56
The Honda CMX 500 Rebel is supplied with progressive fork springs, which are a little too soft and therefore have a negative effect on the handling, which is rather spongy.
The Wilbers conversion also uses progressive fork springs, but these are harder and have a significantly better block value. In this way, we achieve better response behaviour and offer more reserve in the second spring rate than the standard version.
There are also progressive springs on the rear suspension struts, but these have such a poor block value that you are constantly in the second, significantly harder spring during the ride.
Here, too, we have opted for progressive springs with a significantly better block value and additionally adjusted rebound and compression damping.
This makes the CMX 500 Rebel much more stable, safer and more comfortable to ride. The seat height remains unaffected by the conversion.
