Even if anti-blocking-system and advanced-traction-system became standard long ago, they should once again be mentioned here as well as the almost limitless installation possibilities under the trickiest of circumstances – other manufacturers can only mimic this variety. However not everything at Wilbers Products involves innovation-at-all-costs. Our focus always rests on the customer. Therefore all our shocks can be retrofitted with the newest features, therefore do we offer 5 years guarantee and therefore all Wilbers Suspension shocks are delivered with an ABE (general permission of operation).

The complete array of Wilbers Suspension shock absorbers is available in two different product lines: The Blue LINE with the well known blue spring and the Black Line with the black spring. The accessory features ride height adjustment and hydraulic preload adjustment are optically adapted to those product lines.

Best in Basic
The basic model of Wilbers Suspension mono-shocks is delivered with a blue coloured spring for the Blue-line and a black one for the Classic-line. The suspension system makes no compromises, neither in response or reaction nor in durability. A radial shaft imbedded in a wet run, teflon coated swing points and other unique components redefine the standard of mono-shock absorbers. The preload is continuously adjustable and the reboand setting can be changed through its open bleed mechanism by 22 clicks.

The Wilbers unit assembly system empowers us to offer maximum individuality in fulfilling special customer demands while making extra charges unnecessary.

This mono-shock is ideal for motorcycles with a lack of space. Since the hose line is flexible the mounting of the remote reservoir could be in a variety of positions, for example at the back of the rear sub frame where airflow provides extra cooling. Made of high-quality aluminum the reservoir carries the settings for low-speed and high-speed compression adjustment. 22 clicks per area allow optimal fine tuning without compromises. At maximum compression speed, a safety valve prevents the shock from blocking hydraulically avoiding uncontrolled jolts to damage the suspension system. Naturally the preload is variably adjustable and the reboand can be manipulated externally by 22 clicks through the open bleed system.

Type 632 Competition Ø 36 mm

The 632 competition is a slim and flexible mono-shock ideal for vehicles which are, due to their construction, unable to carry a shock with a bigger diameter. The top of the shock is made of a milled-part serving as a connection to the piggyback reservoir. At the same time it includes the adjustment screws for low-speed and high-speed compression. Both, low-speed and high-speed settings can be separately modified by 22 clicks.
At maximum compression speed, a safety valve prevents the shock from hydraulic blocking and uncontrolled jolts from affecting the suspension system. Again you can adjust the reboand through an open bleed mechanism by 22 clicks for a perfectly tuned suspension. The complete shock absorber is machined from 7075 aluminum normally used in airplane construction. The spring preload is continuously adjustable.

Wilbers twinshock absorbers are precision made and developed the same high-quality as our entire product range, for example containing 22 clicks for altering reboand damping. Naturally, they are equipped with a continuously adjustable preload and contain components as a radial piston in a wet run, teflon coated swing points and other unique contents granting most sensitive reaction characteristics and a maximum life span. Type 630 Road Ø 36 mm BMW

What was constructed as an individual solution for the four-valve Boxers from BMW, is considered standard at Wilbers Products GmbH: A special edition shock absorber for the telescopic-suspension of the BMW whose mounting is exactly fitting the telescopic-lever. And not only for the Boxers, but also for a great variety of other models such as the K-series. The shock makes no compromises in durability, reaction or handling. Radial-shafts, wet run, and teflon coated swing-points herewith redefine the standard of a basic shock absorber. Of course, the shocks basis is continuously adjustable and the reboand can be tuned by the open-bleed system by 22 clicks, offering a vide range of set-up possibilities.

The basic model of Wilbers-Racing-Suspension mono-shocks is essentially produced the same quality and contains the same technology as the more sophisticated versions therefore making no compromises in reaction and durability characteristics. The only exception is that it neither contains adjustable compression settings nor a piggyback reservoir. Of course, a radial piston with a wet bushing inside an oil bath and teflon coated swing points are included, as well as the continuously adjustable preload. The practical open bleed system allows you to individually adjust the reboand by 22 clicks. On the pictures, you see two different shocks at exactly the same price.

This shock absorber is connected with the remote reservoir by a high pressure resistant steel hose. It is an ideal alternative for road-motorbikes with limited space. The installation of the reservoir is fairly easy supported by the flexible hose line. You could place the reservoir in various positions for example at the rear frame where airflow provides extra cooling to the system. Even the compression settings for low-speed and high-speed, each alterable through 22 clicks for fine-tuning, can always be easily reached. The reboand is adjustable through an open bleed system by 22 clicks for a perfectly tuned suspension. As with all our models, the preload is

The ultimate mono-shock absorber! A milled upper part serves as attachment to the piggyback reservoir. It includes the adjustment knobs for high-speed and low-speed compression settings. Type 642 Motocross / Supermoto

Since last year Wilbers Suspension offers this special edition shock absorber especially to function with products of the Motocross- and Supermoto-class. As both, Motocross- and Supermoto vehicles are similar in demand and performance, Wilbers developed one shock to match both vehicle types. As usual, only first-class material, such as 7075 airplane aluminum, a piston rod made of special steel 14 mm in diameter, a radial piston with crossbeam as well as a safety valve were used during the manufacture of the shock. The over-pressure safety valve prevents the shock from hydraulic blocking at high compression speed. An over dimensioned reservoir provides maximum cooling and minimum pressure changes to the system. First racing titles in the Supermoto-class have already proven the shock absorbers functionality.

It goes without saying that the shock is equipped with all adjustment possibilities in high- and low-speed compression by 22 clicks each. A novelty is the astonishing reboand, now adjustable by 44 clicks. For the preload there’s a choice between manual or hydraulic adjustment settings. This Wilbers 642 special edition shock is also available in the well known Classic-Line.

Type 640/642 Night Ø 46 mm

 

Black as the night
For the Night Rod Special we developed a special set of shock absorbers with an outer diameter of 85 mm, 100 mm stroke at the wheel axle, adjustable in rebound or alternatively compression
in 22 clicks each and with continuously adjustable preload!! They are completely made of 7075 airplane aluminum and anodized black as the night! We call this new line "Night" TS 640 or TS 642 and the shocks turned out to be works of art that seamlessly fit to the design of the Night Rod Special. They are simply horny and perfectly setup!
The special carbon coating of the piston rod and the silk-mat surface of all aluminum parts turn this new line into something very peculiar. Naturally all shocks are delivered with ABE (German certificate of operation) as standard at Wilbers!

The upper part is milled of full aluminum. It is mounted horizontally to the shock to guarantee flawless installation and outside access to the adjustment mechanisms. For optimal damping, the compression can be separately changed by two screws. One for high-speed and one for low-speed each containing 22 clicks. At maximum compression speed, an over-pressure-safety valve protects the shock from blocking hydraulically thereby making unpredictable movements to the chassis preventable. The open bleed system lets you adjust the reboand externally by 22 clicks. As usual with Wilbers shock absorbers the preload is continuously adjustable providing most sensitive tuning possibilities.

This mono-shock with its horizontally mounted swing reservoir tranBlue you to a new dimension of flexibility. It insures problem-free installation into nearly every vehicle where before a lack of space prevented it. A solid milled-part serves as connection to the swing reservoir. In that the adjustment screws for low-speed and high-speed compression tuning are integrated. Each enables you to select the compression level separately by 22 clicks. In order to prohibit uncontrolled jolts to affect the suspension system, an over pressure valve permits the shock to counteract hydraulic blocking. The 180° angle with which the reservoir is mounted to the shock offers flawless installation in vehicles formerly unable to hold a fixed-reservoir. The adjustment screws for low-speed and high-speed compression, each containing 22 clicks are integrated into the solid upper mounting bracket. Protected from hydraulic blocking by the successful over-pressure-safety valve and fitted with the flexible open bleed system for individual reboand adjustment this suspension system owns all the add-on parts required to enjoy andisturbed motorcycle experiences. Type 643 QMV Competition Ø 46 mm

Special edition for the MV Augusta F4/F5 and the Brutale
As Wilbers is specialized in developing solutions for individual problems, we reached deep down into the bag of tricks and out came this special edition of our 643 shock absorber. It was designed with a new and optical pretty milled-top top which connects the shock to the reservoir. The mounting bracket was made to exactly fit the difficult installation conditions of the MV Augusta. Included into the upper-part are the adjustment screws for low- and high-speed compression, each alterable by 22 clicks. The reboands open bleed system can be externally customized by 22 clicks at any time. Using a hook wrench the preload can be continuously altered at the shocks base.

Type 643 QS/PS 218° Competition Ø 46 mm

Strong construction with pivoting compression tank
Sometimes the installation circumstances are so complex that the engineer becomes an artist. That was especially true in this case when we were to design a shock absorber for the 2006 Kawasaki ZX10RR. With this motorcycle the rear is so rammed up that the only solution to mount a compression tank was to position it tilted to the top past the exhaust pipe! No sooner said than done another new cast part was created for our unit assembly system which is constantly growing due to our flexibility.

As with all our Competition shocks here again the compression setting is tuneable in 22 steps each in the high- and low-speed setting. The rebound adjustment can also be modified by 22 clicks and its adjustment wheel can be easily reached at the bottom of the shock. As a matter of fact of course you might also equip the shock with one of our Wilbers accessories, the hydraulic preload adjuster or the variable ride height adjuster. As a matter of course this type is also available in the Black Line.

Mit Typ 640/641 Ø 46 mm - Individuell

 

For Suzuki TL 1000 S and for Suzuki TL 1000 R
The motorcycle manufacturer Suzuki invented a clever rear-wheel suspension system for their two-cylinder Blue-models TL 1000 S and R. The new invention was that the swing arm affects a spring-element while a separated rotary wing damper provides additional damping to the system. Unfortunately the disadvantage of this system is that the rotary wing damper is located behind the engine thus constantly heating the damping oil, decreasing damping- as well as handling characteristics. Wilbers started troubleshooting and after some development time, the solution became obvious: As the concepts weak point is the rotary wing damper, we refitted the Suzuki with a new Wilbers Suspension damping element with auxiliary spring. Because the spring of the “S”-class is functional it had not to be changed. The opposite is true with the
“R”-version, whose modified system is a progress to the older “S”-class system nonetheless without yet reaching sporty demands. Here we had to develop a special edition shock absorber individually for the “R”-model. However the original spring and damping elements had to be completely exchanged. The results for both classes: Constant damping and more adjustments. Another side effect is that annoying headshaking, typical with the TL 1000, is clearly reduced.

With type 631 Ø 36 mm for Buell

 

Buell offers twin-feeling the American way. A completely customized engine converts the good old Milwaukee-Twin into a bike with aroand 100 HP and a lot of turning moment. The astonishingly short wheelbase empowers the Buell to easily manage steep curves. Unfortunately, if driven to its limits, the linkage and the shock-absorber reveal their weakness: To enable the short wheelbase, the shock was installed horizontally below the engine. The problem is that the shock has to be activated directly thus working on reboand- not on compression. Even worse, the suspension travel of the shock is shortened rendering the setup from difficult to impracticable.
Therefore Wilbers Products developed an inverse function, resetting the suspension systems function to conventional, namely to compression. Our shock absorber with 36 mm in diameter is provided with a flexible hose connected reservoir with the ability to adjust compression for low-speed and high-speed damping by 22 clicks each. The reboand is also easily adjusted by 22 clicks while the preload is always continuously adjustable. Through its suspension being variable in length you might raise or lower the motorcycles rear end. The Buell kit is also available for the Classic-line.

Hydraulic pre-load adjustment

 

This is the maximum package of options for Wilbers Suspension shock absorbers. With its help the preload can at any time be hydraulically adjusted for up to 10mm by a manual crank. No more annoying fumbling with a hook-key! The ride height can be adjusted for ± 5mm, in total for 10mm allowing an optimal riding geometry that adapts to any situation or requirement. Through this, features like load distribution, handling or driving style can easily be influenced. The height adjustment can be executed while the shock is still installed using a mouth tool. Subsequent conversion of older shock absorbers is possible in most cases.

Wilbers ride height adjustment for type 630 / 631 / 632 / 633

The aim of the variable ride height adjustment is a better lean angle capacity! This is especially wanted while touring with pillion and luggage or while on the racetrack. ± 5 mm, 10 in total is the whole tuning range of the height adjuster. Its handling is fairly easy: while partly installed the length of the shock can be modified with a mouth tool. Those 10 mm total adjustment range effect, depending on the linkage ratio of the motorcycle, a lowering or raising of the rear of up to 35 mm – that is a promise! With the help of the ride height adjuster one can decisively influence chassis geometry, load distribution, riding behaviour and handling of the motorcycle. The ride height adjustment is available for mono- and Twinshock-shocks and in many cases can also be retrofitted.
